Hello! My name is Alissa, and I am Catholic photographer based in Southeast, Michigan. As someone who deeply loves the Catholic faith, it is my goal to serve parishes with reverence, joy, and artistry, finding Jesus and His life-giving grace in every moment. My mission? Yes, I love my faith very much and my husband and I attend mass weekly! The mass and its unique parts are very familiar to me, and maintaining reverence while photographing is always one of my top priorities.
Are you a practicing Catholic?
When it comes to parish ministry, my goal is to be as inconspicuous as possible. I photograph with my longest lens to allow a respectful distance between me and the altar, and remain in the side isles or in the back of the church, unless there is a unique request.
How do you handle photographing a mass?
For a mass, never. If I am hired for a parish life event or portraits after a sacrament, I will sometimes use a flash. However, in an effort to achieve the highest quality photos. Of course, this would all be communicated ahead of time to ensure everyone is on the same page.
Do you ever use a flash?

Once I complete your gallery, I will email you a link with access to all of your images digitally.
How are photos delivered?
My current turnaround time for parish ministry photos is about 3 weeks. I do my best to work with parishes if a quicker turnaround is needed for select images (i.e. expedited group photos for upcoming bulletins).
How quickly will we receive our photos?
Alissa is a joy to work with. She has a creative eye for visual storytelling and can capture subtle moments, angles, and perspectives others might miss. As a photographer, it's important to capture not only well-framed, well-lit shots - which she does - but also to look for the emotions, fleeting expressions, and powerful imagery that tell a compelling story. I highly recommend her!
